Running between the capes is one thing – but running the event behind the scenes is a whole different kind of epic.

Cape2Cape Ultra is a point-to-point 100 & 50 miler that covers some of the most stunning and remote trails in the country. It’s no small feat to bring this to life, and each year it takes around 120 volunteers stepping into a myriad of different roles to make the magic happen.

Aid stations become lifelines for weary runners. Logistics crews work tirelessly in the background like a well-oiled machine. Sweepers keep spirits high at the back of the pack, and our medics are nothing short of trailside heroes.

But more than anything – volunteering at Cape2Cape is an adventure in itself.

 

Helping runners reach their personal edge is genuinely soul-filling stuff. Whether you’ve got a day, a weekend, or the entirety of the event, we’d love to have you on board. Just a heads up though – you might just leave inspired to run it next year!
